Housing Assistance in Rural Arizona

June 28, 2022

Arizona Rural Housing Fund

In February 2022, the Arizona Department of Housing (DOH) announced that they would provide $40 million to create more housing for people experiencing homelessness in rural communities in Arizona. The project aims to convert multiple buildings into roughly 500 housing spaces that will serve as transitional housing until individuals are able to find permanent homes. Projects are being started in Coconino county, and the DOH is reviewing applications elsewhere across Arizona as well.
